DIA Leadership Committee

Overview

DIAL LogoThe DIA Leadership Committee (DIAL) is a result of the consolidation of the former DIA Partnership into the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (Metro Denver EDC) in January 2008. The consolidation marked the beginning of DIAL, a business advisory and support group to Denver International Airport (DIA) and the region's aviation industry.

Metro Denver's business and community leaders recognize the significant economic impact of DIA as an asset to our region as well as the growing presence of the aviation industry. In fact, the aviation industry has grown so significantly in the past two years that it is now a recruitment industry for the Metro Denver EDC.

DIAL is a membership committee dedicated to the continued growth and development of DIA and the larger aviation industry to ensure the economic vitality of the Rocky Mountain region.

DIAL members advocate in the business community the following areas:

  • Provide private sector advocacy for DIA.

  • Support additional funding for future DIA expansions.

  • Provide input for job growth around DIA and adjacent area planning, including development patterns and transportation access.

  • Increase international trade opportunities for Colorado companies by supporting nonstop international air service to unserved destinations and retaining existing routes.

  • Conduct programs to educate and inform key decision makers and the public on the importance of maximizing the economic potential of DIA.
