Forum to showcase public/private lending options

Denver Office of Economic Development convenes panel discussion on business/developer financing

The Denver Office of Economic Development invites businesses, entrepreneurs and developers to a business financing forum, Thursday, December 4, 2008, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Invesco Field at Mile High. The forum — “Tools for Funding Business and Real Estate Development” — will feature a panel discussion and resource fair on the various public and private lending options available to businesses and developers.

Panelists include representatives from the Denver Office of Economic Development Business Loan Program, Colorado Enterprise Fund, Colorado Housing & Finance Authority, Seedco Financial-Denver, as well as an SBA lender and an expert on debt/equity capital markets. Each organization will provide an overview of its financing tools and offer tips on tapping into those funds.

“Despite the tightening of credit markets, there are sources of capital available for Denver businesses and developers,” said Denver Office of Economic Development Executive Director Andre Pettigrew. “Our aim is to educate the business community on the various financing options available in today’s marketplace.”

The forum will be held in the Photographer’s Work Room, located on the north side of Invesco Field at Mile High. The room is accessible through the north loading dock area, below Gate 5.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, email Artamis Byars, artamis.byars@denvergov.org or call 720-913-1660.
